NG WEE CHUAN

Senior Financial Services Manager

Wee Chuan is a Senior Financial Services Manager in IPP. He has over 20 years of financial planning experience and has achieved great success. Initially inspired by a finance agent in the Army who shared with him about a financial advisory career, Wee Chuan valued the prospect of helping others achieve financial stability and success. Determined, he completed his Investment-linked Life Insurance (ILP) examination with distinction in a month, passed his entrance examinations, all while pursuing an Economics and Sociology double major at the National University of Singapore. With previous industry exposure at AIA, Manulife and Prudential, Wee Chuan joined IPP in 2007 as he wanted an independent platform where he could represent multiple companies to his clients’ best interest.

Today, Wee Chuan is a trustworthy, action-oriented, and positive (with a hearty laugh!) adviser whose diversified strengths lie in areas such as Family Financial Planning, Retirement Planning and Investment. He is a consistent qualifier for the Million Dollar Round Table (top 5% of advisers globally), IPP Chairman Round Table and the Top 100 advisers in IPP. While grateful for these accomplishments, Wee Chuan’s true joy stems from seeing his clients financially well-protected and successful in life. As a loving father himself, he finds meaning in guiding other parents in their personal risk management – for their careers and families. To Wee Chuan, his advisory business is not just a job, but a career with a purpose.

A Chinese aphorism Wee Chuan steadfastly lives by is “将心比心” (jiāng xīn bǐ xīn) – which is to put oneself in others’ shoes. He recalls a vivid encounter where a client opted for a simple savings plan. However, as the interest rates kept changing for the better, albeit minuscule, Wee Chuan diligently ran back and forth 3 times with new papers for his client. His client expressed gratitude for his professionalism and ethics. These sentiments are often articulated by Wee Chuan’s clients who tell him “I wish I had met you earlier!”

Outside of work, Wee Chuan is a voracious reader. One of his favourite books is “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill – on how to achieve what the mind conceives. He loves going on late night drives to quiet areas to read and have a good meal, constantly strengthening his mind with new knowledge and wisdom. Wee Chuan is also actively involved in charity work, as he believes it is his civic responsibility to give back to society. He organizes food drives, makes regular donations to Singapore’s National Kidney Foundation and other charities in and out of Singapore. As Team Eagle’s food connoisseur, Wee Chuan also fancies himself a good steak paired with a glass of wine every now and then.
